High-fantasy, a term used to describe what basically boils down to a Lord of the Rings style aesthetic in whatever type of entertainment media you prefer to experience such a genre. Topware Interactive, the publisher behind this sequel to the largely unknown Two Worlds is firmly putting their stamp on the high-fantasy genre with Two Worlds 2.

In a world named Antaloor, you embark on an epic journey across treacherous terrain with the intention of slaying a majority of beasts, humanoids and dragonkin. It’s certainly fitting the bill so far, especially for those who literally cannot wait for a brand new Elder Scrolls game. The world of Antaloor is largely free-roaming for you to explore at your will and deal with the consequences if you happen to step down the wrong pathway and end up getting flash mobbed by a group of axe wielding brutes.

Accepting quests, dealing with villagers problems and find a solution will see your created character traverse the entire world(s) of Two Worlds 2 allowing you to collect armour, weapons and even alchemy ingredients for you to create potion as wild as your imagination can take you. Struggling to get by a group of evil orcs? Then why not create a water walking potion to bypass them or even better, an invisibility potion for the even sneakier effect.

As with all Role Playing Games, earning good armour or “loot” as its known is the basic fundamental hook into keeping you interested in seeing your character through to the end. If you find yourself with too much loot, then you can break it down into their basic parts and pieces for you to upgrade your current favourite piece of armour to ensure that no piece of loot is wasted which is definitely an interesting way of keeping your character on the brink of his potential power.

Two Worlds II is coming February 5th 2011 and has been out for a little while now in Europe earning itself some favourable review scores. Look forward to a review right here in this very newspaper for my opinion on Two Worlds 2.
